Linda Drajem: Bread and Roses
As a former educator and a current writer and community volunteer I believe many local people are doing great work for our WNY community that gets little attention. I want to focus on local folks who serve others through their work in providing the basic necessities such as food and shelter and also serve the mind and soul through art and education.

Interviews with Ann Graham, Stephanie Bucalo, and Mary Callahan
Discussion of problems of refugees and immigrants in Buffalo, a border city that has always been a site for those fleeing war, genocide, and extreme poverty. Currently many refugees from Burma, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Haiti, Sudan, Somalia,Tanzania are coming to Buffalo. Stephanie works at a local school that hosts African immigrants. Ann has worked with refugee agencies and is currently on the board of a new agency to serve this influx.
